Bogibeel Bridge
Length:- 4.94 Km
Connect:- Dibrugarh and Dhanaji district of Assam.
Type:- Railway, Road bridge single welded.
Sustain:- 10 rister earthquake.
Construction of bridge to connect Dibrugarh and Dhemaji district was one of the promise in Assam Accord. PM Rajiv Gandhi finalized this accord between Government of India and Praful Mohanto to end separatist tendancy in region.
In 1997 PM Devegauda announced Bogibeel Bridge. The foundation led in 2002 by Atalji when he was PM. Till 2004 the bridge in on paper only. All things about bride finalise in 2005.
Due to harsh climate of Assam there are often interruption in construction activity. Work only active between months December to April every year. The Oresand bridge betwwen Sweden and Denmark studied for this bridge.
A funds available from railway was quite low so in 2007 this project declared as national project by Government of India. Then 75% of fund provided by centre and 25% fund from railway. And project work speed uped.

On December 12th, 2013 North East railway called press conference and declared 90% work of Bogibeel project completed. This press conference conducted by railway officer Mr. S Lahiri.
Now we can easily conclude most of work of this project completed in which government, and which government cut red ribbon.
